What we do
Project50 Ventures Ltd develops practical products, digital applications and specialist educational resources.
The approach is simple to describe and slow to do properly. Find a real problem. Understand what the people facing it actually need. Build a tool that makes their work easier, and check it before it goes anywhere near them.
Our first product family, Heating Decoded, covers technical learning, controls identification and structured diagnostics for the domestic heating industry. As the business grows we'll build products in other sectors too, but only ones we can do properly.
How a product gets made
- Start with the problem. Not with a technology looking for a use. If we can't describe the problem in a sentence, we don't build anything.
- Learn from the people doing the work. Engineers, trainers and technical managers know where the time goes. We listen before we design.
- Keep the facts straight. Technical content is checked before it's published, and approved material such as wiring diagrams is never redrawn or altered.
- Say where things stand. Every product on this site shows its real status. In development means in development.

One company, distinct brands
Project50 Ventures Ltd is the legal company and the publisher of everything we make. Heating Decoded is a product brand it owns, with its own look, so an engineer can recognise it at a glance on a phone or on a shelf.
New products will sit under the same company in the same way, each with an identity that suits the people using it.
