Who we are
This policy is from PROJECT50 VENTURES LTD ("Project50 Ventures", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17500452. We're the controller of the personal data described here.
For anything about your personal data, email privacy@project50ventures.co.uk. Our registered office address is on our Companies House record.
What this policy covers
It covers this website, messages you send through our contact form, and emails you send us.
Our apps will each have their own privacy notice, because each one handles data differently. They're published at the Heating Decoded app privacy notice and the Part Finder privacy notice.
What we collect and why
| What | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your name, email address, organisation (if you give one), the topic you pick and your message, when you use the contact form | To read and reply to your message | Legitimate interests in answering enquiries, or steps you've asked us to take before a contract |
| The content of emails you send us, and your email address | To reply and keep a record of the conversation | Legitimate interests |
| Technical information our web host records when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time | To keep the website secure and working | Legitimate interests in running a secure website |
We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website, and we don't sell personal data. The fonts on this site are served from our own server, so viewing a page doesn't send your details to a font provider.
Who handles data for us
We use a small number of suppliers, who act on our instructions:
- PageLaunch (a trading name of Building Blocks SLT Ltd) hosts this website and receives contact-form messages for us. The website is hosted on servers in the UK.
- Our business email provider, which stores and delivers emails sent to our @project50ventures.co.uk addresses.
If a supplier processes personal data outside the UK, we make sure there's an adequacy decision or another safeguard that UK data protection law allows. We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and email correspondence for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then delete them, unless we need them longer for a legal reason or an ongoing matter. Web server logs are kept by our host for a short period for security.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- correct anything that's wrong
- delete your data
- restrict how we use it, or object to us using it
- give you your data in a portable format, where that applies
Email privacy@project50ventures.co.uk. We'll reply within one month, and we may need to check who you are first.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first at privacy@project50ventures.co.uk. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and let you know what happens next.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
This website and our products are aimed at working professionals and aren't intended for children.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when anything changes, including before our apps are released, and show the date at the top.
